ARRL TI-2: Day 4   Leave a comment

Yesterday was Day 4 of the American Radio Relay League’s Teacher Institute.

We spent the morning playing with our BOEBOTs, and controlling them over APRS with MAREA commands in the comment line.

We had a pass from the FunCube satellite, so we also set up and collected data from that event. Here is a photo of us listening to the raw satellite data.

I did not operate W1AW yesterday at lunchtime. Thankfully, it is because many of the folks from our classroom were in and operating, and so I didn’t want to jump in. I had operated during three lunch breaks already, and I wanted to make sure everyone had a chance to operate.

In the afternoon, we spent some time going over FunCube data and a few potential lesson plans.

Thank you for reading my post.
